About Vladica Vulin
Vladica Vulin | MA Psychologist

I offer online counseling for adults in English and Serbian, with a particular focus on expats. Alongside my work as a psychologist, I practise integrative psychotherapy under clinical supervision.
How I came to psychology
I originally wanted to be a journalist. There was a woman I watched on TV, and I liked the way she asked questions that made people think. When I learned that she had studied psychology, I started thinking about studying it too.
I completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business Psychology and a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy. I’ve worked in counseling, mental health content, HR, and recruitment. Those experiences helped me understand how much work and personal life can affect each other.
Why expats?
I’ve thought a lot about moving away from Serbia myself. When a close friend moved to Slovenia, hearing about her everyday life made me think more about what happens after the move.
You leave for reasons that matter to you. But then there is the life you actually have to get used to: work, relationships, unfamiliar routines, and missing parts of what you had before.
I’m interested in how you experience all of that. Who do you feel you are after moving? How is it when you visit your old home? And how close is your life now to the one you hoped to build?
What you can expect from me
You can expect support, understanding, and curiosity about what you share.
I want to understand how you think and how you deal with things, so I can get to know you better.
My approach is integrative, with an emphasis on our relationship and how we work together. I ask questions, share what I’ve noticed, and check whether I’ve understood you correctly. We can also talk about how our conversations feel for you, including anything I’ve misunderstood or anything you need more of from me. We can take more time with something when you need it.
We talk about whether our conversations are helping. Before suggesting something to try, I want to understand what happens for you in that situation and what you’ve already tried. Sometimes we work through a difficult conversation: what was said, how you felt, and what you wanted to say. We can also practise how you could respond. When we try an exercise or a practical tool, we discuss whether it actually helps you.
